Salad is a pretty good program...

Salad is a pretty good program... but it takes an excruciatingly long time to earn anything... i've had salad installed for more than 7 months now, and i have 49 cents in total, never redeemed anything... idk if it's just me or my pc, but it's difficult to get any earnings. also, can you lay off with the notifications?

Simple install, smart toggles

Setup on Windows was painless. It checked my GPU, downloaded containers, and started earning after I tweaked power limits. The tutorial hints were enough, and I liked seeing live job demand before running.

Good when jobs actually flow

Drivers updated, antivirus freaked, I rolled my eyes. Toggled an exception and kept going. When jobs flow, it feels clever. When idle, I just shut it down and forget it.

Runs best when power is cheap

Earnings bounce with demand, so I run it at night. Felt satisfied seeing gift card balance creep up. Watch electricity costs or you can break even.

Good value gpu rentals

I deployed a small LLM on SaladCloud after a quick registration and clear instructions. Communication via status emails helped when one node preempted. Requeued easily and finished fine. The price made experimenting sane, though region availability was spotty one afternoon. Simplicity stood out.

Spun up ai jobs fast

Signed up in minutes, connected my repo, and launched inference via the Salad Container Engine. The console is clean and the docs are short and to the point. Cold starts can be longer than big clouds, but the hourly GPU price made testing painless.

Cheap gpus, dev friendly

Felt empowered spinning up inference for pocket money. Occasional preemptions, but the docs and console keep it straightforward. Great tinkering ground.

Ive bin usin' Salad since 2017.

Ive bin usin' Salad since 2017. They always gave me my money and been honest since day one. But Salad needs a good PC and unlimited internet. It takes 'bout a week to make $10. It's good for makin' money if you like that.

After updating the Salad app to version 1.4.5,

After updating the Salad app to version 1.4.5, I tried logging into my account, but I keep getting an error message saying "Something went wrong, please try again later." I've never had this problem before, and I always keep my email and password written down just in case. Now, I have to wait for their support team to get back to me and hopefully fix this issue with my account.

So, I've used Salad for the second

So, I've used Salad for the second time to get Steam game keys. I got 2 keys this time, and it took less than 10 minutes to receive them. The only problem I'm having is that it's taking a long time to earn money on Salad. Maybe it's because I don't have a powerful gaming laptop that can do idle chopping or handle high-end tasks. Also, the earnings from using bandwidth are low even though my laptop runs all the time. Anyway, I'll give it 4 stars for now. I just wish Salad offered more ways to earn, especially for users in Pakistan.

The app is pretty good. I've made

The app is pretty good. I've made $139 and got some game keys in just a little over a month. Some folks get all worried because their antivirus thinks it's bad, but honestly, all mining programs get flagged, doesn't mean it's a virus. The neat part is, if you've got a speedy internet, you can make money just by using it, though it works best with a 2070 or higher. You can use my referral code GSX8QL to make double money when you're starting out. It's a nice way to earn a bit of extra cash from your computer when it's just sitting there doing nothing.

Using this app with my 4070, I'm only making $2 for 24 hours of rendering

Using this app with my 4070, I'm only making $2 for 24 hours of rendering. It's utterly absurd and a terrible choice. My electricity bill amounts to around 60 euros per month, making these prices an insult to anyone investing in a decent rig. The company siphons off all the profit, leaving users at a loss when considering the high electricity costs. It's a disappointing experience that hinders rather than supports creative endeavors.

After using it for a while, I must say I'm not disappointed

After using it for a while, I must say I'm not disappointed. The platform has some subtleties that require understanding to optimize earnings, and these details may not be readily explained unless actively sought out. However, overall, I've been quite pleased with the experience. It serves as a great avenue to access certain games at significantly lower prices, making it a valuable resource for gamers looking to save on their purchases.
