Curated listings, pay attention to fees

Bought a Pixel after comparing grades and IMEI checks. Seller shipped next morning and device matched photos. PayPal showed a partner fee that confused me at first, but support articles clarified the math. Solid marketplace if you read listings closely and test on arrival.

Smooth phone sale in days

Listing was straightforward with ESN check and required photos. Buyer paid via PayPal within hours, and shipping labels were easy. The private chat kept everything tidy. Fees were clear.

Should be 5 stars, lost 1 star because the app can be really slow to start

Should be 5 stars, lost 1 star because the app can be really slow to start, at times I just stop trying.. Still, it's a good app, looks like the team behind it works seriously. On second thought, maybe 4.5 stars for the slow opening problem.

First time I sold a phone on Swappa.

First time I sold a phone on Swappa. They helped me with the whole listing process. My phone was in very good condition, and I set the price a bit low to sell quickly, and it sold in about 24 hours after I lowered the price. Selling through Swappa feels simpler than using a normal auction site, and their fees are smaller, too.

The cerification process is great.

The cerification process is great. You can buy with trust, knowing what you will get and feeling safe. I got a few things from this site, and it never dissapointed me. Even brand new, sealed products.

I’ve always had good experiences here.

I’ve always had good experiences here. The site offers lots of buyer protection and gives a lot of details to help you pick the right phone (like condition, storage, battery health, pictures, service, etc.). I trust Swappa with my cash to buy a decent phone that hasn’t been stolen or left unpaid by the seller.

Swappa Staff/Management Lacks Integrity, Is Not Objective, Has Doubled Standards, and Poor Business Practices – DO NOT USE!

Ugh! I really have no respect for cowards. That energy is so off-putting. I loathe people who behave like that, cower behind anonymity and delusions of grandeur, and empty titles. This is exacerbated when it is done by a place of business… Swappa back in the day used to be AWESOME. I had my account for OVER 10 years(~36 sold items, ~18 buys, 5-star rating on ALL sales), with ZERO issues. That is until recently… The short: I bought an item from an “enterprise” seller. According to Swappa’s own terms, certain data should be available immediately after you remit payment. There is evident contradiction, ambiguity, miscommunication, and hypocrisy in the treatment of laymen sellers and “enterprise” sellers and their FAQ section. Remember, I have plenty of experience with buying, selling, refund, PayPal, returns, fees, etcetera. *The “enterprise” seller was unable to provide information that should have been made available and/or readily accessible once payment was tendered, according to their own policies, both parties were in violation of this. As a result I opted to decline moving forward with the transaction and asked the “enterprise” seller to just cancel the order, minutes after they said they did not have the specific device information. Weird. They ultimately wanted to assess me a 10% return/restock fee for a device they never shipped out or could even provide me the requested information on and took me through an unnecessary claim with PayPal for almost a week. I reiterate this was dumb and to simply cancel the order/not accept the funds/ or I would be forced to involve PayPal. I waited exactly 24 hours and got nothing. I escalated to PayPal, Swappa deletes my account, I win my PayPal claim, I contact Swappa, no response. Trash

The phone matched the description perfectly

The phone matched the description perfectly – in good condition, fully charged, and MUCH cheaper than the original price. It came quickly and has worked perfectly so far. It's reassuring to know that I can still get good quality electronics without spending too much. Appreciate it!

Bought from a new seller.

Bought from a new seller. The iPad arrived quickly, and I used Paypal to make the purchase easy. It came in great condition, just as described. I would definitely buy from this seller again. Really happy with the service.

I really like this app.

I really like this app. It’s definitely one of the better ones out there. I have faith in Swappa and value the effort they make for customers. Other selling sites like ebay, mercari, plug, etc., are just too confusing and messy. Swappa is straightforward, simple, quick, useful, and I believe the best option for selling old tech. I strongly suggest trying Swappa.

Even though UPS misplaced the phone

Even though UPS misplaced the phone, Swappa's protections made sure the seller had shipping coverage and handled the refund quickly. I never felt like I could lose my money at any time.

The top site for selling electronics online.

The top site for selling electronics online. I've been using it for years and it's always been a good experience. The website is user-friendly, listing products is straightforward and simple, and the support team is always there when needed. I've never had an issue with a customer despite selling many items here over time. The fees are very low and transactions are smooth. I've also bought items on this platform before, and they were just as easy and safe as selling.

Swappa simplifies buying quality used

The most important thing is your item matching the description. The second most is communication. Both of these things were perfict.

Swappa is great - I have sold many devices

Swappa is great - I have sold many devices on this site and just recently bought one. Every time it's been easy. There are lots of fraud prevention steps and reviews.

I'm super happy with my buy!

I'm super happy with my buy! It came on time and wrapped up good. It looks brand new, better than they said. It works so well, everything's there and wrapped up nice. It looked like it just left the factory. Price was fair. First time I bought on Swappa and from this seller. I'll buy here again for sure. Everyone should sell like this. Thanks!

First time usin' this site

First time usin' this site to buy somethin' and the experience was good. The item came as described. The shippin' was a little slow but you can see the seller reviews if in doubt and one did mention the shippin' issue so I was a little patient.

I needed a used PS5 and found

I needed a used PS5 and found one on Swappa. The first seller encountered a problem with the system and promptly refunded me without any hassle, which I appreciated. Swappa staff explained the refund process and offered assistance if needed. The second transaction went smoothly, and I received the PS5 as advertised and on schedule. Despite needing to try twice, I never received a faulty system, and both sellers and Swappa staff were prompt in handling the situation. I would definitely use the site again.

My multiple transactions

My multiple transactions went smoothly, and even when there were unexpected hiccups, the platform efficiently resolved them. Swappa simplifies the buying and selling process, making it a breeze. Looking forward to more seamless business interactions with them in the future!

I found this site through a Reddit

I found this site through a Reddit recommendation. I posted an iPhone X for sale. I was asked for a model and serial number of my phone which I entered. The site did not accept my serial number and required a 14 digit input. So I added 2 zeroes to the SN. My model number was not listed among the drop downs so I selected one anyway as it was required. After submitting my posting I received an email asking me to take more photos and enter a valid serial and model number. So I did this and even uploaded a photo of the settimgs screen showing the serial and model number. Requested an admin review again and even sent an email to the support team for help. Received a canned response with no help for my specific issue. There is no chat feature or ability to speak with the support team. I just received an email stating my listing was cancelled. What a waste of 2 hours of my life I will never get back!

I've previously purchased phones

I've previously purchased phones from Swappa, and now, venturing into buying a used laptop was a seamless experience. True to their commitment, the laptop arrived in excellent condition. Swappa's assurance to assist in case of any transaction issues adds an extra layer of confidence to my purchase. Overall, their reliability remains consistent across different devices, making them my go-to platform for used electronics.
